Classic Tours
Under the ‘Classic Tours’ selection are a number of best-seller itineraries comprising some of the most impressive sights in China, Japan and South-East Asia. These carefully crafted itineraries have been tried and tested over the years and offer an ideal itinerary for those looking for group travel.
From the nine-day ‘In Pursuit of Panda’ tour, to the more comprehensive 26-day ‘Grand Tour of China’, these tours all offer unique sightseeing, expert guides and are fully inclusive, meaning that everything is taken care of including flights, domestic transportation, meals, accommodation, touring with guides, entrance fees and even visa fees.
Discovery Tours
The Discovery Tours collection has been created to suit travellers who look to delve deeper into China’s local culture in a more active way and see the country from a different perspective.
The four new itineraries range from 15 to 23 days and offer more unusual ways to see China’s iconic sights, some of which are not offered by any other tour operator. The Discovery Tours also require a greater level of fitness and an adventurous spirit, with options such as a five-hour hike on a lesser visited section of the Great Wall, a bamboo rafting trip along the Yulong River in Yangshuo, or more extensive walks through the rice terraces of Longi near Guilin or Yuanyang in Yunnan.
A sample Discovery Tour is the 15-day ‘China Explorer’. Pairing the classical sights with a Yangtze cruise, visits to atmospheric ancient towns and a hike on the Great Wall as it weaves through the undulating landscapes, this tour brings guests closer to China’s authentic charm. Highlights include the Hutongs of Beijing, cycling in Xian as well as a visit to the Terracotta Warriors and a walking tour of Xian’s Muslim Quarter, a three-night Yangtze River cruise and the ancient town of Pingle, dating back to the Han Dynasty. The tour is priced from €3,690 including flights, domestic transportation, most meals, accommodation, touring with guides, entrance fees and visa fees.
Exclusive Collection
The Exclusive Collection offers iconic Asia itineraries with 5-star accommodation, luxury extras, sumptuous dining and unique experiences, many of which are only available with Wendy Wu Tours. These range from meeting the farmers who found the incredible Terracotta Warriors, learning Tai Chi with a master, enjoying champagne on the Great Wall, and taking part in a cooking class in Hoi An.
Wendy Wu Tours also creates private and bespoke tailor-made itineraries for those who are looking for travel independently across Asia.
