Tourism Malaysia Launches MyFest 2015 at ATF

Tourism Malaysia took advantage of its participation at the ASEAN Tourism Forum to launch its 2015 promotion, MyFest 2015. Thanks to the Visit Malaysia 2014 campaign, the country attracted 22.86 million visitors between January and October 2014, an increase of 97%.

MyFest 2015, a continuation of the Visit Malaysia Year campaign from last year, aims to promote Malaysia’s cultural aspect as a tourist attraction. Themed ‘Endless Celebrations’, a total of 50 cultural events and festivities have been identified as key cultural attractions in Malaysia. The campaign is expected to significantly boost arrivals of tourists to Malaysia, with targets of 29.4 million tourist arrivals and $24.7 billion billion in tourist revenue.

British Airways is planning to resume direct daily flights from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur from 27th May 2015, the flight being operated by a B777 with 219 seats.
