Lufthansa has said it will still be flying more than 50% of its short-haul schedule – and 60% of its long-haul schedule – today and tomorrow, despite a two-day pilot strike.
The airline’s Middle East rescue flights are not affected, but at least three Dublin flights have been cancelled.

Francesco Sciortino, Hub Manager Frankfurt & Accountable Manager Lufthansa Airlines: “Lufthansa’s top priority is to get as many passengers as possible to their destinations despite the Vereinigung Cockpit strike call. I would therefore like to express my sincere thanks to the many pilots who have volunteered to work for us and will be on duty on Thursday and Friday.”
Numerous flights to and from Frankfurt and Munich will be taken over by other airlines in the Lufthansa Group (Eurowings, Brussels Airlines, Austrian Airlines, SWISS) and by partner airlines. Larger aircraft will also be used on the strike days to accommodate more passengers.
