Blue Insurance has urged travellers to be cautious over their plans to visit the Middle East since the outbreak of hostilities between the US/Israel and Iran over the weekend.

Blue Insurance’s Jeanette Taylor said: “Because of events in the Middle East, we recommend all travellers closely monitor government advice and flight information. Please stay safe and if you have plans to visit the Middle East or neighbouring regions, please contact your travel provider to confirm your trip’s status and explore possible changes or alternatives.

“Blue Insurance will provide information to customers about policy coverage. But please note that that losses related to war or acts of war are typically excluded from coverage under many of our travel insurance policies. We encourage customers to review their policy documents to understand the specific terms and conditions that apply. Your safety is our priority!”
