MEININGER Hotels Continues UK & Ireland Expansion with First Dublin Property

MEININGER Hotels is continuing its expansion in the UK & Ireland with a new property in the heart of Dublin‘s authentic Liberties district.

It marks the group’s first foray into the Irish market and follows on from the recent announcement of a new opening in Edinburgh.

Developed in collaboration with partner Salamisso Developments, the new Dublin building will cover 8,163 square meters and seven floors, comprising 232 rooms with a total of 811 beds. This includes 75 double rooms, 33 triple rooms, 91 quadruple rooms, and 33 six-bed rooms, in line with the brand’s flexible room concept. The opening is scheduled for April 2028.

“The new location in Dublin strengthens our position in the British and Irish market and is an important component of our European growth strategy. With the new property, we are responding to the strong demand and limited capacity in the local hotel sector. Together with Salamisso Developments, we aim to offer our guests an attractive, centrally located accommodation at a fair price,” said Ajit Menon, CEO of MEININGER Hotels.

“We are delighted to partner with MEININGER Hotels on their first development in Dublin, located in The Liberties – an area undergoing significant regeneration and investment. This project responds to strong demand for high-quality, well-connected accommodation while supporting the ongoing revitalisation of one of the city’s most historic neighbourhoods. MEININGER’s innovative hybrid hotel concept is a strong fit for Dublin’s diverse visitor base, and we look forward to working closely with their team to bring this quality and exciting development to life, ensuring that it makes a positive and lasting contribution to the area,” said Frank Gilmer of Salamisso Developments.
