The big players in the luxury hotel industry, renowned hotels such as Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Aman are shaping the new league of travel at sea, no longer are we cruising, the ultimate in luxury travel is yachting.
What the Ritz Carlton have achieved is a Luxury cruise in yacht style with perfect service, plenty of privacy and a classically elegant ambience. Modern, spacious and stylish in maritime colors, very synonymous with their branding. They have aquired 3 super yachts, (Evrima, Ilma, Luminara) each have a capacity of between 298 and 452 guests, depending on the ship. What they offer is hotel comfort at sea with gourmet cuisine, Michelin chefs, opulent spa and access to smaller ports. In 2026, Four Seasons I, the first ship from the prestigious hotel brand promises nothing less than a new definition of ultra-luxury at sea. They have taken this concept even further, its 1st ship promises a cosmopolitan aesthetic, in the style of the renowned Four Seasons resorts on land, the brands legendary hospitality and a 1:1 service ratio that rival most exculsive resorts. The onboard culinary offerings are equally exceptional, inspired by the restaurants of the four seasons groups. Eleven distinct dining concepts promise gourmet moments at the highest level. The emphasis is on personalised journeys curated experienes onboard and off shore. Four Seasons plans to launch a fleet of three ships in the near future.
The Amangati is due to set sail for the first time in 2027; a hybrid superyacht with just 50 suites, each with a private terrace and an almost limitless view of the vast sea. It’s aim to be a floating temple of relaxation, with a focus on wellness, mindfulness and retreat. Aman at Sea promises tranquillity in its purest form, far away from the hustle and bustle of classic cruises. With an Offering of only 47 suites, establishling itself as a boutique of the sea, creating an intimate and relaxing enviroment. Prices as of yet to be confirmed.
