Royal Schiphol Group and KLM are launching a joint evaluation into the recent disruptions caused by extreme winter weather. To support them in this process, they will engage Oliver Wyman, a leading international consultancy firm.
The joint evaluation will focus on the effectiveness of operational and communication processes during the winter weather, with specific attention to runway and apron capacity, de-icing, passenger communications, industry collaboration, and safety. The aim of the evaluation is to identify opportunities for improvement to enhance operations and the overall passenger experience.
The findings and recommendations are expected to be shared with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management by the end of March.
