Ireland West Airport On Target for Record 950,000 Passengers This Year

Ireland West Airport-Knock is on target to reach record levels of passengers, this year, with close to 950,000 people set to fly to and from the airport in Co Mayo.

The news follows the recent announcement, by Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien, of €4m in Exchequer funding being allocated to regional airports under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025 – €1.9m, of which, will go to Ireland West Airport. Government Allocates Combined €4m for Donegal, Knock & Kerry in Latest Regional Airport Funding Round | ittn.ie

Funding provided under the Regional Airports Programme supports vital safety and security operations at airports, including air traffic control, fire services, and security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in these areas.

I’m pleased to say we are forecasting a record year for passenger numbers in 2025, which is a testament to the firm support from the entire region and beyond for the airport.
