Ryanair has said its Christmas flight bookings are up on this time last year, with 40% of seats across its extensive route network not yet sold up to the end of December.
Ryanair’s group chief executive, Michael O’Leary, imparted the news at a press conference in Vienna.
Mr O’Leary said: “Bookings for Christmas are running strongly ahead. At the moment we’re about half a percent ahead on forward bookings for where we were this time last year, and average fares at the moment are up sort of mid- to high single digits.”
