The first flights in Ryanair’s new Winter 2025 routes from Shannon to Madeira, Madrid and Lapland (Rovaniemi) have officially taken off, as of today.

Ryanair will operate each of these new Winter 2025 routes twice per week.

These are just three of 20 routes that Ryanair is operating to/from Shannon Airport this Winter.

Ryanair’s Comms Director, Jade Kirwan, said:We’re pleased to see the first flights of our new Winter 2025 routes from Shannon take off today, carrying lots of cheerful passengers heading away for some well-warranted winter sun in Madeira and Madrid or to experience the magic of snowy Lapland. These exciting new Winter 2025 routes to Madeira, Madrid, and Lapland (Rovaniemi) will each operate twice per week, adding to Ryanair’s already robust Irish Winter 2025 schedule, offering even more choice at the lowest fares.

Shannon Airport Group’s Interim CEO, Ray O’Driscoll, said: “We’re delighted to see Ryanair’s three new Winter ’25 routes from Shannon Airport to Madrid, Rovaniemi (Lapland), and Madeira take to the skies this week. These inaugural flights mark a fantastic boost to Ryanair’s already strong schedule from Shannon and further cement our position as a key gateway to and from the West of Ireland. We’re gearing up for a busy October Bank Holiday period, with passenger numbers up 9% compared to the same period last year, and we’re looking forward to sending people off to these fantastic destinations with a hassle-free start to their holidays.”
