Carlisle Bay in Antigua has reopened from its seasonal closure to reveal first phase of its multimillion-dollar refurbishment.
Some of the newest and most luxurious suites in the Caribbean, the resort’s Bay, Garden and Ocean Suites have been beautifully renovated with interiors by acclaimed London-based designer, Miminat Shodeinde and artworks by renowned British artist, Jo de Pear – perfect for couples looking for luxury this winter season.
Located directly on a bay overlooking the ocean, Carlisle Bay’s newly renovated suites represent over half of the resort’s total inventory of 87 suites. Tucked away at the far end of Carlisle Bay’s crescent-shaped beach, the six Bay Suites offer an intimate, adults-only retreat—ideal for honeymoons, wedding stays, or celebrating life’s special moments. Offering direct access to the beach, each secluded suite is a peaceful sanctuary where luxury meets the rhythm of the ocean. Bay Suites features include a king-sized four-poster bed, freestanding bathtub, rainforest shower, Haeckels amenities, complimentary tea and organic Kusmi teas, and small-batch hand-roasted Caribbean coffee.
New for the 2025 season, Bay Suite guests booking a stay of four nights or more receive additional touches including the services of a personal concierge to curate their stay on Antigua, return private airport transfers, in-room bar with choice of vodka, gin or rum, a complimentary bottle of Champagne with any private beach dinner booking and 20% off all spa treatments.
Leading the project is acclaimed London based designer Miminat Shodeinde of Miminat Designs. Honouring Antigua’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty, the team merged the resort’s essence with a refreshed, modern design that embraces its central concept of laid-back luxury. Designed to capture the golden warmth of the Caribbean sun paired with timeless elegance, the Garden, Ocean, and Bay Suites will reflect a new chapter for the resort.
The full evolution of Carlisle Bay is expected to conclude in November 2027, with all aspects of the luxury resort, including the remaining suites, spa, public areas, and restaurants, refreshed and refurbished during its annual seasonal closure periods.
