Dublin has been ranked one of the 10 best city break destinations in a survey by TUI Musement.
The listings are based on Google search volumes and backed up by recent data from the European Travel Commission, showing holidays within Europe – whether home or abroad – are currently the preferred option for as much as 65% of European citizens.
Dublin was the only city across Ireland and the UK to make the list and shared the top 10 with some illustrious company including: Rome, Paris, Prague, Berlin, Venice, Vienna, Amsterdam, Budapest and Barcelona.
The survey picked the Guinness Storehouse as the must-visit attraction in Dublin.
It’s summary of the capital’s attractiveness read: “The Irish capital offers plenty for a short break: exploring Trinity College and its stunning library, visiting St. Patrick’s Cathedral or discovering beer history at the Guinness Storehouse. Dublin is also known for its lively pub atmosphere and unusual experiences, such as theatrical ghost bus tours during Halloween.”
