Icelandair has been ranked Europe’s most punctual airline, by aviation analyst Cirium in its latest monthly round-up of airline on-time performance.
Globally, Aeromexico was the most punctual in September, with an on-time performance of 91.8% of flights during the month.
In North America, WestJet was the most improved player, but Delta Air Lines maintained its top position with an 87.5% on-time performance.
Royal Jordanian maintained its most punctual ranking across the Middle East and Africa, with a 95.39% reading.
Global flight reliability saw a dramatic split in September, with global flight cancellations increasing by 11% due to major operational setbacks in key international markets.
Hawaii’s Honolulu International Airport was the best performing large airport, with an on-time performance of just over 90%.
