In the shadows of Canary Wharf, at London City Airport, a British Airways aircraft is adorned with its own Movember moustache. London City Airport has teamed up with BA for the month-long campaign, during which the giant moustache will be on display in the departure lounge at City, where passengers can take photographs in return for a donation.
Staff from the airport and airline will also be cultivating their own moustaches to raise money for the Movember charities.
Declan Collier, Chief Executive at London City Airport, said: “Two thirds of our passengers are male, most of whom are business travellers. The charities supported by Movember are therefore very relevant and we are delighted to be supporting the campaign with British Airways, which raised £80,000 worldwide for Movember in 2012, following the death from Prostate Cancer of its former Chief Executive, Lord Marshall.”
Passengers are invited to share photographs of the giant moustache, as well as their own Movember efforts, with prizes available to thank them for their donation – #LCYtash.
