Malta is soaring in popularity as a summer sun holiday spot with Irish holidaymakers, according to new research by loveholidays.
Bookings, this summer, have jumped by a whopping 193% year-on-year, according to the research.

The online travel agent’s recently published Recharge report reveals that the Mediterranean gem is winning over Irish tourists seeking both relaxation and adventure. From the historic streets of Valletta to buzzing coastal hubs, Malta’s all-round appeal is clearly striking a chord.
The report reveals that three resort towns scattered across the island have seen significant increases in bookings for this summer by Irish holidaymakers.

St Paul’s Bay has seen the biggest uplift, with bookings jumping by 329%, while St Julian’s and Mellieha are not far behind, with their beautiful bays attracting a surge in bookings by 189% and 168% respectively.
Following last year’s introduction of direct Aer Lingus routes from Dublin and Shannon, the island has never been more accessible to Irish holidaymakers.
