American Airlines Extends 40-Year Payments System Partnership with Mastercard

American Airlines and Mastercard have extended their near 40-year long payments partnership.

The agreement secures Mastercard as the exclusive payment network partner for American’s co-branded credit cards, building on nearly 40 years of collaboration between the two companies. Together, American and Mastercard will continue to enhance the AAdvantage programme — American’s industry-leading travel rewards programme — while providing cardholders with seamless and personalised experiences on every trip.
