Cork City is set to come alive this evening as Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan 2025 begins, bringing with it a week-long celebration of traditional Irish music, dance, song, and storytelling. Running from 12–19 July, this marks the largest provincial festival of its kind, drawing performers, families, and visitors from across Munster and beyond.

The festivities officially launch tonight with an opening ceremony at Cork City Hall, followed by a special concert by acclaimed traditional group Téada at the MTU Cork School of Music on Union Quay. Throughout the week, attendees can enjoy a rich cultural programme, including concerts, workshops, storytelling, and street performances. Highlights range from children’s singing workshops and sean-nós dancing to walking tours of Cork, Ogham carving, and a traditional music trail weaving through the city.
