After a particularly busy few months, I knew I needed a break. I needed space to breathe, to move my body and to clear my mind. So, I booked myself a yoga holiday in Brela, Croatia, with TD Active Holidays and Moons Yoga and it turned out to be exactly what I was craving.

Why I Chose This Trip
I’d done a similar retreat with TD Active in Portugal before, so I knew what to expect: a well-organised blend of yoga, mindfulness, and proper holiday vibes. I travelled solo, but the group was a lovely mix – solo travellers like me, sisters, and friends. It felt welcoming right from the start.
TD Active made everything so easy, they sent us clear pre-travel info, our check-in details, and tips for the area. When I landed in Split, our guide was waiting at arrivals with a big smile, helping us get to the hotel smoothly. It was such a nice touch and made travelling alone feel safe and stress-free.

Brela: A Hidden Gem on the Croatian Coast
Brela honestly took my breath away. The turquoise sea, the mountain backdrop, and the scent of pine trees, it was pure magic. Our hotel, set just above the water, gave us easy access to the beach and had everything we needed, including a buffet for breakfast and dinner. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, perfect for winding down.
The Yoga & Daily Flow
Each day started with a morning yoga session on a platform just above the sea – honestly, one of the most stunning places I’ve ever practised. The sound of the waves and the morning light felt surreal. It was also the perfect spot for jumping straight into the sea after our energetic practice.
After yoga, we had breakfast and the rest of the day was mostly ours, whether that was relaxing by the beach, exploring the coastline, or grabbing coffee with new friends. In the evenings, we had a slower, more reflective yoga session, often ending with meditation and even a little life design guidance from Moons Yoga. These sessions felt particularly grounding, like I was pressing pause on the noise of everyday life.

Extra Adventures & Making Connections
One of the highlights was a spontaneous boat trip to Hvar that I booked with a few girls I’d just met on the retreat. We swam in the clearest water, stopped at hidden coves, and had lunch in the town of Hvar. It was the perfect mix of adventure and connection.
What I really appreciated was the balance, you could be social and chat with others over dinner or on a walk, but there was no pressure. Everyone respected when someone needed solo time or wanted to wander off for a bit of stillness.

What to Know Before You Go
- Yoga gear: I brought my own mat, but the hotel also has some available in the gym if needed. I’d recommend packing lots of light layers, as it was cold for our early start, but quickly warmed up as the sun was rising higher during the practice.
- Transfers were seamless – just follow the instructions from the TD Active guide and you’re sorted.
- You’ll get a detailed itinerary before the trip so you know what to expect, plus recommendations for things to do in the area.
- You don’t need to be an advanced yogi – the classes cater to all levels, and the focus is more on mindfulness and connection than perfect poses.

Who This Is For
If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, tired, or just need a reset, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s ideal for solo travellers, but you’d also love it as a sister trip or a mindful getaway with a friend. It gives you time to rest, move, reflect and have fun too.
I left feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to myself. And isn’t that what a holiday should really be about? Find out more about the trip here.
