Argentina is set to see a significant surge in tourism business this year.
Latest research by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) forecasts inbound tourism will contribute nearly $39bn to Argentina’s economy this year – representing around 6% of the total national economy.
Argentina’s inbound tourism sector is set to grow by 8.4% this year, with the industry supporting nearly 7% of the country’s workforce – or close to 1 million jobs.

Julia Simpson, President and CEO of the WTTC, said: “Argentina shows solid progress in strengthening its tourism sector, with sustained growth and increased diversification of tourism offerings. Tourism continues to be a pillar of recovery and economic development for the country.”
Last year, international tourism spending reached $4.4 billion, accounting for 17.5% of total spending.
