JetBlue Expands Transatlantic Services with New Edinburgh & Madrid Routes Out of Boston

US airline JetBlue has expanded its transatlantic services with the launch of two new European routes out of Boston – to Madrid and Edinburgh.

The new routes will run through to October 25. In addition, JetBlue’s seasonal route between Boston and London Gatwick has also resumed.

JetBlue already links the US to Dublin, Amsterdam, London (Heathrow and Gatwick), and Paris.

“With our deep Boston roots, we’re excited to be putting more of Europe within reach for New England travellers with JetBlue’s low fares, great service, and the convenience of flying right from Logan,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of revenue, network, and enterprise planning at JetBlue. “As we grow across the Atlantic from Boston, we’re also making it easier to connect to more of our network across the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean.”

“We’re excited to offer passengers a nonstop flight to Madrid through this new route – JetBlue’s first-ever service to Spain,” said Ed Freni, executive director of aviation at Massport. “This new connection makes it easier than ever to explore Madrid’s rich blend of history, culture, and art. We value our strong partnership with JetBlue and look forward to bringing travelers even more great destination options in the future.”

“We are delighted to celebrate JetBlue’s continued transatlantic growth with these new nonstop flights from Madrid and Edinburgh to Boston,” said Martha J. Sheridan, president & CEO of Meet Boston. “These routes create new opportunities for cultural connection with Spanish and Scottish travellers, allowing us to showcase all that Boston has to offer—from our world-renowned history and cultural institutions to our dynamic culinary scene and thriving innovation economy. Whether they are traveling for leisure or business, we look forward to creating unforgettable experiences for our visitors from Spain and the United Kingdom, and any other travelers who utilize these exciting new routes to reach Boston.”

JetBlue’s new Boston flights to Madrid and Edinburgh support its JetForward strategy to build the best East Coast leisure network.
