“We are delighted to have reached another Twitter milestone and wanted to share it with our customers and followers,” said Paul O’Kane, DAA Public Affairs Director. “Twitter is an excellent tool that allows us to communicate directly with our customers and to share information of interest to them.”

Dublin Airport has been active on Twitter for less than three years and uses the micro-blogging site for passenger information, news, customer engagement and customer service queries.

Dublin Airport’s Twitter feed was named the world’s Best Airport Twitter Feed at last year’s Moodies awards for social media in the aviation sector. The judges said Dublin’s Airport’s Twitter account was “in a league of its own” with a “strong sense of place” and “its own distinct voice”.
