| Spanish airlines Iberia and Vueling ranked as the most punctual European airlines last month. Monthly data from aviation analyst Cirium show that Iberia had an OTP (on-time performance) of 91.25% in February, while Vueling had an OTP of 89.35%. Vueling topped the rankings in the low cost carrier category. |
Both Spanish carriers are part of the IAG group of airlines, which also includes Aer Lingus, British Airways and LEVEL.
On a global basis, Aeromexico was the most punctual airline last month. In North America, Southwest Airlines was most on time with its flights, while Cathay Pacific was the leader in Asia-Pacific .
Safair stood out as the most on-time airline in the Middle East and Africa region.
