The show’s impact on each destination has been extraordinary. Season one, filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Hawaii, drove a 425% year-over-year spike in web traffic for the property. Season two fuelled a wave of interest in Sicily, with the island and its historic resort town of Taormina experiencing a surge in inquiries and bookings. The Four Seasons’ cliffside San Domenico Palace, where much of the season’s drama unfolded, was fully booked for months.

There’s speculation that the upcoming season of The White Lotus will feature scenes filmed in Koh Samui, Phuket, and Bangkok, which is expected to fuel interest in these iconic Thai destinations further.
