White Christmas?: Dublin, Cork & Belfast on List of European Airports Facing Potential Weather Disruption over Festive Period

Milan, Glasgow and Edinburgh Airports face the highest odds of weather disruption, this Christmas, due to heavy snowfall.

According to BoyleSports, https://www.boylesports.com/sports/entertainment-tv/white-christmas, travellers could find themselves spending the festivities at the airport, with snow expected to hit various parts of Europe this Christmas week.

BoyleSports has Milan Malpensa Airport at 9/2 to see snow disruption, with an 18% chance of snow. Glasgow comes next at 5/1, with Edinburgh similar odds at 6/1.

Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport is also at risk of disruption, along with Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and London City Airport.

Irish airports don’t escape the list, either. BoyleSports has Belfast International Airport at odds of 8/1 for snow disruption, with an 11% chance of snowfall. Dublin Airport is at 10/1, as is Cork Airport.

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has already advised travellers in Britain to keep on top of flight information and brace themselves for all sorts of disruptions to travel plans due to bad weather.
