Aer Lingus has announced two new summer 2025 routes from Cork Airport – to Bilbao and Bordeaux.
Starting in late spring, Aer Lingus will operate direct flights to the culturally rich cities of Bilbao and Bordeaux three times a week, with fares from €59.99.

These new routes are part of Aer Lingus’s commitment to providing customers flying from Cork more choice when it comes to leisure travel. Both Bilbao and Bordeaux are renowned for their rich heritage, stunning architecture, and unique cuisine, making them perfect destinations for summer travel.
Reid Moody, Aer Lingus Chief Strategy & Planning Officer, said: “These new routes from Cork provide our customers with more opportunities to explore European culture. Bilbao and Bordeaux are both rich in history, heritage and we know our customers will enjoy new direct connections to discover these destinations. These routes are fantastic additions to Aer Lingus’ network, and we look forward to welcoming customers flying from Cork on board for an unforgettable travel experience.”

Tara Finn, Head of Aviation Business Development & Communications at Cork Airport, said: “Adding to what is already shaping up to be a very exciting Summer Schedule, today’s announcement of two new Aer Lingus services is superb news and is warmly welcomed. With a new direct connection to Bilbao, located in the heart of the Basque region, customers from across the South of Ireland can enjoy the famous culture, gastronomy and scenery that Northern Spain has to offer. It will also provide very convenient access to the Camino de Santiago. Coupled with the addition of Bordeaux to the summer route network, I’d like to thank Aer Lingus for their continued commitment to Cork Airport. We look forward to jointly promoting these new services and the wider Aer Lingus summer schedule in the weeks ahead.”
Sun seekers flying from Cork Airport will also enjoy additional frequency to popular summer sun destinations, Lanzarote, Tenerife and Palma de Mallorca in 2025. Direct flights from Cork to Palma de Mallorca will operate five times per week from 1st May, to Lanzarote four times per week and Tenerife three times per week from 30th March.
