Marella Cruises Unveils New Features and Refurbishments on Marella Discovery 2

Marella Cruises has unveiled a series of new features and refurbishments onboard its Marella Discovery 2 ship.

For the first time, Marella Cruises’ guests can challenge their speed, precision, and hand-eye co-ordination with the life-sized interactive Play Wall aboard Marella Discovery 2.

Developed by Neo Experiences, innovators in interactive and immersive gaming, this cutting-edge Play Wall transforms gaming into a next-level experience.

Guests can choose from 28 exciting, creative, and inclusive games, ranging from the family-friendly Totem Craft, where players compete to build the tallest totem, to Rival Goals, a penalty shootout-style game designed for adults and accessible to individuals with disabilities.

These games promise unforgettable moments, showcasing the Play Wall’s advanced technology and engaging gamification.

The ship has also undergone significant refurbishments, including updates to the lobbies, as well as enhancements to 370 cabins. These cabins have new décor with vibrant artwork and upgraded wall coverings.

They feature new furniture, beds, fully renovated bathrooms, updated carpeting, and improved balcony furniture. The upgrades extend across various cabin types, including Balcony Cabins, Deluxe Balcony Cabins, Junior Suite Cabins with Balcony, Family Junior Suite Cabins with Balcony, Family Suite Cabins with Balcony, Grand Suite Cabins with Balcony, Executive Suite Cabins with Balcony, and the Royal Suite Cabins with Balcony.

Chris Hackney, Managing Director at Marella Cruises: “After undergoing extensive refurbishments, Marella Discovery 2 is set to give customers an even better experience when she sets sail to the Canaries for the winter season. We’ve invested in making large scale improvements, revitalising the lobbies and cabins as well as adding exciting new entertainment features like the dynamic immersive Play Wall. We’re proud of the results and can’t wait to welcome passengers onboard to see their reactions.”
