Luxury Mount Juliet Hotel & Golf Resort Returns to Profit Ahead of Sale

The luxury Mount Juliet hotel and golf resort, in Co Kilkenny, returned to profit last year, according to newly filed annual accounts.

The 5-star resort houses one of Ireland’s Michelin starred restaurant and a Jack Nicklaus-designed championship golf course, which has previously hosted the Irish Open.

The resort showed a near €9.4m profit for 2023, compared to a €1.7m loss the previous year.

The profit was chiefly a result of the current owner’s agreeing to a write-off of cumulative interest on shareholder loans.

The luxury hotel is set to change hands, with hotel investment group Tetrarch Capital recently agreeing its sale to Tipberry Ltd.
