MSC Cruises Marks 5-Month Countdown to ‘MSC World America’ Launch, with Sneak Peak

With less than five months until the launch of MSC Cruises’ new flagship, MSC World America, the cruise line has shared a unique look into the ship’s construction.

MSC World America represents an important evolution for MSC Cruises’ successful World Class prototype – ushering in a new world of cruising with re-imagined venues and concepts to deliver the ultimate guest experience in the Caribbean, offering MSC Cruises’ signature elegant European design with North American comfort appealing to travellers who are seeking global adventures.

The new flagship will also be the first to feature seven on board districts, each having its own atmosphere, facilities and experiences, designed to enhance the onboard experience, allowing every guest to create a one-of-a-kind holiday that is uniquely theirs and maximise their time on board.

MSC World America will be named in a glittering ceremony in Miami on April 9, 2025, and with less than five months to go, MSC Cruises is giving fans the chance to see the ship coming to life in new photos.

Bernhard Stacher, SVP Shipboard Hospitality Operations said: “We’ve invested a lot into tailoring MSC World America to deliver a truly memorable cruise experience, with new restaurants, bars, experiences, and spaces. With the only Eataly restaurant at sea, a brand-new Greek restaurant Paxos, and MSC Cruises’ first comedy club The Loft, there’s really a space and experience for every guest.”

William Monts de Oca Rivera, Head of Guest Experience Innovation said: “One of the biggest innovations for MSC World America is The Harbour, part of the Family Aventura district, a brand-new revolutionary outdoor venue specially designed for kids and families to gather, play and relax together. It’s home to Cliffhanger – a state-of-the-art swing attraction 50m above the ocean that is going to bring a totally new dimension to the cruise experience.”

The new flagship is under construction at Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, currently in her outfitting stage where all of the interiors, public spaces and facilities are installed.
