BookaBed has appointed Dublin-born and raised Roy McCullagh in Sydney to head up the online accommodation wholesaler’s launch into the Australia and New Zealand markets. 
Karl Tyrell, Managing Director of BookaBed, said: “The time is now right for expansion down under, and a crucial aspect of this was getting the right team on board. We identified the expansion potential in this market quite some time ago and, following an extensive executive search, we are delighted to announce Roy’s appointment.”
Roy has had an extensive career with leading tourism brands, including Cunard, Hilton, Starwood and Raffles, and is Past-Chairman of the Australian Tourism Export Council (New South Wales) and is well regarded throughout Australasia.
