Tourism Ireland Pushes Golf Tourism Product at DP World Tour Championship in Dubai

Tourism Ireland, together with four golf and tourism operators from Ireland, is attending the DP World Tour Championship at the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai this week.

A key event on the European Tour and the climax of the DP World Tour Rankings, the DP World Tour Championship attracts top players, international golf journalists and thousands of spectators each year – providing a fantastic platform to showcase Ireland’s superb golf offering.

Tourism Ireland is reminding golfers attending the tournament that The Open returns to Royal Portrush in 2025 and that Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup in 2027.

Aisling McDermott, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Global Partnerships, said: “Our presence at this year’s DP World Tour Championship in Dubai is an excellent opportunity to remind golfers that Ireland offers some of the very best golf in the world, as well as spectacular scenery and fantastic experiences.

“We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that The Open will return to Royal Portrush in 2025 and the Ryder Cup will take place at Adare Manor in 2027. Tourism Ireland will be pulling out all the stops once again to leverage the tourism potential of these prestigious sporting events in our important golf markets around the world.”
