After five years as Director of the Portuguese Tourist Office in Dublin, José Noguiera Ramos is moving on to pastures new. At a reception at the residence of the Portuguese Ambassador, Bernardo Futscher Pereira praised Jose for his tenure here and the manner in which he managed to grow the number of visitors from Ireland, and also in working with the trade to improve access from all main Irish airports to all regions of Portugal.
Previously José served in Germany, Holland and France and was a Member of Parliament in Portugal. José’s catch phrase “my good friend” was taken up by Clare Dunne who thanked José for his work with the trade, sometimes in difficult circumstances.
Working from London as Director for UK and Ireland, new Director Filipe Silva visited Dublin to join in the celebrations and to get to know some of the friends that José had built up over the years.
Irish Travel Trade News wishes José well in his new endeavours and welcomes Filipe to his new post in Ireland, which he will take up in a month’s time.
