InteleTravel has created a new role in the Republic of Ireland, to oversee its commercial growth and manage its 2025 partner engagement programme.
Anne-Marie Durkin joins as country manager, bringing over 30 years of experience to the role.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the Irish team, working to increase InteleTravel sales and visibility in Ireland and joining partners with advisors to optimise performance,” said Ms Durkin.
The appointment comes as the number of advisors in Ireland has reached 1,040 as the business model continues to attract new entrants into the travel industry.
UK & Ireland managing director, Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “Newcomers to the travel industry increases the pipeline of sales for partners, providing healthy commission potential for advisors. However, training is key in our heavily regulated environment and we will increase our activity in this area with the help of Ann-Marie. We already have high performers in Ireland who have proved our business model works effectively.”
In the UK, InteleTravel has made several new appointments to expand its head office team. Geraldine Nolan has been appointed to the newly created role of director, partner relations and two members of staff have been added on the back of record sales and commission payments to advisors in October.
Overall, 2024 has seen a record year of growth globally for the group, which is on target to achieve £1bn in sales in the calendar year.
