Poland, Tenerife and the UK have emerged as the top Christmas destinations for Ryanair’s Irish-based passengers this year, according to the airline.
Poland ranks highly with many Polish diaspora returning home to family and friends for Christmas; but the popularity has been boosted with many Irish passengers flocking to enjoy Poland’s renowned Christmas market offering and ski resorts.
The Canary Islands are always top draws for Irish passengers in the winter months, but Tenerife is trending currently due to its mix of charming seaside villages, stunning coves, colonial towns, a rainforest, and breath-taking ravines.
The UK, while always popular, is boosted by Ryanair’s strong UK route network which connects Ireland to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Cornwall, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, and Newcastle.
