Birmingham Airport Temporarily Closed and Evacuated due to Security Incident

Birmingham Airport, in the UK, has been temporarily closed, and evacuated with all flights suspended this afternoon after local police investigated what has been reported as a “suspicious vehicle” in the vicinity.

Sky News and other outlets have reported that West Midlands Police have advised passengers not to come to the airport while investigations are ongoing.

In the most recent update, police were on site and currently dealing with an incident.

Both Ryanair and Aer Lingus Regional are major users of Birmingham Airport.
