Dubai Economy and Tourism & Emirates Host Agents On Foodie FAM

On the 12th – 17th September, Dubai Economy and Tourism and Emirates welcomed a select group of ten Irish travel agents and a journalist for an unforgettable four-night, five-day Irish Foodie Familiarisation Trip to Dubai.

In collaboration with Kerzner, the group immersed themselves in Dubai’s renowned culinary landscape while enjoying luxurious accommodations at two of the city’s finest hotels—One&Only Za’abeel and Atlantis The Royal.

The agents were handpicked from leading travel companies across Ireland, including Hannon Travel, Trailfinders, Cassidy Travel, Bookabed, Travel Counsellors, Travel Solutions, Travel Focus, Discover Travel, Oroko Travel, and Club Travel. They secured their spots by participating in a seven-week booking incentive promoting Dubai in partnership with Emirates.

The group enjoyed many culinary highlights, such as:

  • A Michelin-starred lunch at the acclaimed Orfali Bros Restaurant, founded by brothers Mohammad, Wassim, and Omar, featuring a 10-course tasting menu with exquisite dishes like caviar buns, celeriac & truffle croquettes, and the popular “corn bomb.”
  • A spectacular dinner at Dinner by Heston, showcasing hay-smoked salmon, roasted halibut, and the famous Tipsy Cake, made with spit-roasted pineapple.
  • Breakfast at the iconic Arabian Tea House, where the group learned about the significance of Arabic coffee and dates in Emirati culture from local experts.
  • An exclusive cooking and mocktail class at Nobu by the Beach.
  • An immersive culinary experience at Le Petit Chef for their final dinner.

When not indulging in Dubai’s culinary treasures, the group explored some of the city’s top attractions, including The View at the Palm and a tour of Burj Al Arab. They also enjoyed classic Dubai experiences such as a sunset yacht cruise through the marina, a traditional abra ride at Madinat Jumeirah, a visit to Cloud 22, the ARTE Museum, and an exhilarating desert safari hosted by Arabian Adventures. Additionally, the agents toured some of Dubai’s most luxurious hotels, including One&Only Royal Mirage and Address Beach Resort.

Dubai Economy and Tourism and Emirates extends their gratitude to all the agents and partners who joined on this remarkable journey and look forward to even more Irish travellers to experience the extraordinary culture, cuisine, and luxury that Dubai has to offer.
