FBD Hotels & Resorts Reopens The Manor House at Killashee Following Total Refurbishment

FBD Hotels & Resorts has reopened The Manor House at Killashee, Co Kildare, following a total refurbishment – marking a significant chapter in the story of Killashee and the original house, which dates back to 1861.

Commenting on the completion of The Manor House, Ger Alley, General Manager Killashee said: “The refurbishment of The Manor House represents a pivotal milestone in FBD Hotels & Resorts’ €5 million investment into Killashee, further enhancing the guest experience and solidifying our commitment to excellence. Since April 2022, Killashee has undergone a series of transformative developments, beginning with extensive refurbishments to the main hotel areas, restaurants, and bedrooms. This has been followed by significant upgrades to our conference and wedding facilities, as well as The Spa. Earlier this year, we proudly opened The Wild Cherry Café at the Leisure Centre, and the completion of our all-weather football pitch marks yet another enhancement to our expansive offerings.

“The Manor House, with its timeless elegance and rich heritage, now stands as a premier venue, harmoniously blending classical charm with the modern sophistication of our contemporary hotel. As a distinctive destination, it serves as a remarkable setting for exclusive events, weddings, and gatherings, adding a new dimension to the Killashee experience.

“Building on our recent Gold Award from Green Hospitality, all refurbishment efforts at Killashee have been meticulously executed in alignment with our commitment to our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) policy. Sustainability remains at the heart of our operations, and each phase of the refurbishment was carried out with a focus on minimising environmental impact while enhancing energy efficiency and reducing waste.”

Located on the outskirts of Naas in County Kildare,  The Manor House at the four star Killashee is available for private and corporate bookings for those who prefer ‘old world’ charm in a rich warm setting.

Guests staying in The Manor House can dine in both The Pippin Tree and Oak & Anvil restaurants where they can enjoy an elevated culinary experience by Executive Head Chef Phillip Gleeson and relax in the Larkspur Lounge with light bites and drinks. The award-winning Spa at Killashee has 15 treatment rooms which include a Dry Floatation Suite, a Rasul Chamber and relaxation suite as well as access to the Hydrotherapy Suite and the leisure centre.

Killashee is located in an enviable area in the heart of Kildare’s magnificent countryside. Close to three racecourses, historic and national visitor attractions including Russborough House, the Japanese Gardens and Irish National Stud, all only 15 minutes from Killashee Hotel. Newbridge Silverware and Kildare Village are also close by and always popular destinations.
