Dalata Hotel Group Agrees Sale of Wexford Maldron; in Talks on Clayton White’s Sale

The Dalata Hotel Group – Ireland’s largest hotelier through its ownership of the Clayton and Maldron brands – is looking to sell its hotel assets in Co Wexford.

The company has agreed the sale of its Maldron Wexford hotel to local company the Neville Park Hotel Group. Changeover of ownership, including full staff conversion, is expected to complete in early November.

Dalata is also in discussions over the sale of its Clayton White’s Hotel in Wexford town centre, which is one of Wexford’s best known hotels. It is understood that the group is in exclusive discussions with a preferred bidder.

Dalata purchased what was then White’s Hotel in 2014 and had already operated it for five years before.

The group – which also operates in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany – said it remains committed to its home market of Ireland, despite the Wexford update.
