British Airways Expands London-Pittsburgh Route to Daily Service

British Airways has announced an extension to its current London Heathrow to Pittsburgh International Airport route to a daily service.

The 8-hour service currently operates six days per week.

Jerad Bachar, CEO at VisitPITTSBURGH, said: “We’re thrilled that the British Airways service continues to go from strength to strength and aligns us with these iconic destinations. Our city has so much to offer; not only do we have exciting new developments and attractions on the horizon, but our existing ‘Only in Pittsburgh’ offerings, such as The Andy Warhol Museum, Wigle Whiskey and Primanti Sandwich, firmly cement the city as a must-visit destination for culture seekers, foodies, and sports enthusiasts. We’re looking forward to welcoming a new wave of travellers to discover what makes Pittsburgh so special.”

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, said: “The US remains a priority market for us, and we know these network changes will be welcomed by both our business and leisure customers, providing more options than ever before to travel between the UK and the USA.”

The news comes as British Airways announces it will operate a record number of flights from London to the US, Canada and Mexico in Summer 2025, offering more than 400 direct flights per week during its peak weeks, including 26 US cities.
