British Airways, part of the IAG Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Airbus to buy 18 Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, plus options on another 18. This is part of the carrier’s ongoing long-haul fleet renewal.
“The A350-1000 will bring many benefits to the BA fleet. Its size and range will be an excellent fit for the airline’s existing network and, with lower unit costs, there is opportunity to operate a new range of destinations profitably,” said Willie Walsh, Chief Executive of IAG.
