Here at ITTN we take sustainability very seriously and we purposely have little rules in place like having a paperless office, no single use plastic and of course we eliminated the printing of our magazine and maintain a digital first approach.
Our awards (The ITTN/Irish Travel Trade Awards) have sustainability at their core and we make sure that, where possible, the only footprints we leave behind are those on the dance floor.
We also have the only sustainability award in the Irish Travel Industry applauding brands across Ireland and the world for their efforts, sponsored by Spain, who are leaders in this area, and won by MSC Cruises in 2023.
Our sister brand Silk Prestige, the sustainable silk flower company, takes this to the core of everything we do, to start, every new client we get, we plant a tree under the Crann Ireland programme and after a while, when our flowers become a little tired, but still beautiful, we retire them from service and gift them to nursing homes or hospices under our ‘joy for life’ programme.
