Funds Raised from ITAA Awards Raffle to go to ITAA Benevolent Fund

The Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) has announced that funds raised through the raffle at its annual Irish Travel Industry Awards (which takes place tomorrow evening) will go to the ITAA Benevolent Fund.

The ITAA said: “An important part of the Irish Travel Industry Awards evening has always been to raise money for a good cause.”

Raffle tickets will be on sale at the Irish Travel Industry Awards Gala Evening and can be purchased by cash, cheque or credit card (via QR Code). All relevant information will also be displayed on each table on awards night.

The purpose of the ITAA Benevolent Fund is to offer financial assistance to past and present ITAA members who are experiencing difficulties. Money is typically raised by donations from ITAA members, optional additional company contributions when renewing their annual ITAA subscription, proceeds from fundraising events and individual ad-hoc donations from generous named and anonymous benefactors.

Through the generosity of the Irish Travel Trade, and with the support, encouragement and assistance of the Irish Travel Agents Association, the ITAA Benevolent Fund has been able to help many fellow colleagues, in their time of need.

For more information, please join the closed Facebook group or visit their website for trustee contact details. All requests are dealt with in the strictest of confidence.

All raffle prizes can be view here.

The ITAA’s Irish Travel Industry Awards 2024 – in association with MSC Cruises – will take place tomorrow (Thursday, January 25) at the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin.
