Almost 90% of Irish Holidaymakers Yet to Book 2024 Holiday, Survey Shows

Nearly 90% of Irish holidaymakers are yet to book their main overseas holiday for 2024.

That is according to the latest travel sentiment survey by online agent Click&Go.

The study surveyed nearly 2,000 people.

It found that 11% of people booked in advance because of flexible payment options, low deposits, wider choice of hotel availability or because they found a good deal.

Furthermore, 64% have thought about booking their 2024 holiday and of those 64%, 33% of consumers plan to book before the end of December.  Some 28% plan to book in January and a further 28% plan to book in either February or March.  Finally, 11% plan to book closer to their departure date.

Click&Go said it has seen a 30% increase on advance bookings for 2024 in comparison to last year. Nearly 60% of all 2024 bookings for Click&Go are repeat customers.

Paul Hackett, CEO of Click&Go commented: “Everyone has heard that the earlier you book, the more you save but it really isn’t a myth. Waiting for prices to drop is a very risky move and unfortunately very often not worth it. With Click&Go our exclusive €1 holiday deposit and other flexible payment options allow you to get low offers now and a chance to pay later.”
