Tom Coughlan Appointed Fáilte Ireland Interim Chairperson

Tom Coughlan has been appointed interim chairperson of Fáilte Ireland.

He temporarily replaces Paul Carty, whose term in office recently came to an end.

Tourism Minister Catherine Martin formally opened the application process for the position of Fáilte Ireland chairperson last month.

Mr Coughlan – who has been a member of the Fáilte Ireland Authority since 2018 – will serve as interim chair until the Minister appoints a permanent successor to Mr Carty. The selection process remains ongoing.

Mr Coughlan is a non-executive director of Eirgrid and has served as non-executive director of the Shannon Group and the Shannon Airport Authority.
