Eurostar London-Amsterdam Route May Temporarily Close

Restoration, improvement and renovation work at Amsterdam’s main railway station – Amsterdam Centraal – could result in the London-Amsterdam Eurostar train link being out of service for nearly a year.

The work is planned to run from June 2024 to May 2025, but there is, reportedly, currently no plan-B in place to relocate post-Brexit passport checks meaning the rail link would be suspended.

Eurostar is due to hold talks with the Dutch government this week.

The company has already deemed the option of moving the route to Rotterdam unfeasible.
