More Options for Irish Travelling to Japan as Etihad Announces Abu Dhabi-Osaka Route

Etihad Airways has announced a new route from Abu Dhabi to Osaka.

The new direct link will start flying – five times a week – from October 1.

It opens up another gateway for Irish passengers heading to Japan. Guests flying to Osaka will be able to fly easily from Dublin for easy one-stop connections via Abu Dhabi.

This new service complements Etihad’s existing route to Tokyo (Narita) with flexible options available for a multi-city booking. The new route is now live across all selling systems.

Etihad said: “Our new Osaka service will connect Abu Dhabi with the bustling Japanese city renowned for its famous Osaka Castle, vibrant neon signs, and mouth-watering street food. A perfect blend of natural beauty, cultural heritage, and modern architecture make Osaka a unique destination.”

The flight times for AUH-KIX-AUH are as follows (all times local):

–       EY830: AUH-KIX dep. 2140, arr. 1155 (+1 day) on Tues, Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

–       EY831: KIX-AUH dep. 1725, arr. 2255 on Mon, Weds, Fri, Sat and Sun operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
