Air France today launched its New Economy Offer, a new fare offer available to 58 destinations on the short-haul and medium-haul network. On sale today, for travel as from 6th February 2013, passengers will have the choice between the all-inclusive Classic product and the MiNi product, a simplified product that does not earn Flying Blue miles and is aimed at passengers travelling without checked baggage, at fares starting at €49 including tax.
With two complementary offers available all year round and fully combinable fares, this new offer particularly targets the 60% of customers who are looking for the best possible fares and the 40% of short-haul and medium-haul customers travelling without checked baggage.
“With this new fare range that makes the Air France quality of service accessible to all, Air France is continuing to implement its Transform 2015 plan, which aims to put the customer at the heart of its development strategy,” said Alexandre de Juniac, Chairman and Chief Executive of Air France. “This initiative is in addition to the renewal of the commercial offer launched in October 2012 with the strategy of moving upmarket on the medium-haul network.
“Air France is clearly illustrating its ambition to pursue a policy of constant adaptation of its products and services, and earn its customers’ preference.”
The new MiNi fare will initially launch on domestic flights from Paris-Orly, as well as most medium-haul flights from the regional bases in Marseille, Nice and Toulouse. The offering is also to be extended to six Cityjet-operated routes from London City to Brest, Nantes, Pau, Avignon, Toulon and Paris Orly.
The fare type will not allow ticket changes, will prevent passengers from assigning their seat until they arrive at the airport, and will not include the opportunity to earn Flying Blue miles. Checked luggage will be charged at €15 when purchased online, or €30 at the airport. Passengers will receive a free onboard newspaper, snack and drink.
The all-inclusive Classic fare will continue to be available on these flights from €69, offering seat selection, checked luggage, Flying Blue miles, free snack, drink and newspaper, and flight changes for a €70 charge.
