Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is to develop a new resort on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia.
Located on Shura Island, the new resort will have a yacht marina, 18-hole golf course and all the usual retail and leisure offerings.
The development forms part of Saudi Arabia’s planned Red Sea Masterplan, which aims to make the 124 mile coastline – running between the Saudi cities of Umluj and Al Wajh – one of the region’s top tourist destinations.
“As we continue to expand Four Seasons presence in the region, our new project in the Red Sea will be one of our first resorts in the Kingdom, blending the best of beachside travel with the natural and cultural wonders of Saudi Arabia,” said Bart Carnahan, president, global business development and portfolio management at Four Seasons.
“We are incredibly proud to be part of this impressive and visionary development by RSG and look forward to inviting guests to explore our new Resort within such a beautiful and storied destination.”
Four Seasons will develop the resort in a joint-venture with Red Sea Global (RSG), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
