Phase one of the new centralised passenger security screening area has opened in Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1. The original queuing areas at security zone A and B are now closed. The new centralised passenger security screening area, located just before check-in areas 2 and 3 in Terminal 1, means that there is now one single dedicated queuing area for departing passengers.
Phase two of this development will incorporate a new auto pass barrier system where passengers will be able to swipe their boarding cards to gain access into the security screening area. This project has been designed to improve the efficiency of the passenger security screening process so that all departing passengers can enjoy a smoother journey through Dublin Airport.
